Subject: | Russian Logbooks |
Anybody know of a good way to get Yak Russian logbooks translated? I'm having trouble
finding anyone within 100 miles to do it. Don't want to ship off the original
logs or have to copy them and ship the copies. Would rather just sit down
with someone and do it on the spot, since probably the translator would not
be familiar with airplane jargon.

I know a former Soviet AF transport pilot here in Walnut Creek .. maybe he would
be willing to translate. He runs a dynamite Russian restuarant and deli in
Walnut Creek. I'll bring my log book to him. But the engine book is in Hungarian

The "X" designates the SAE Type 2 flanged propeller shaft.
The "DK" designates nickel plated pushrod tubes and fittings.
All of the engines come with this, so it's really not necessary any more.
