Big fun down here, that CJ in the ditch belongs to Tom Reynolds, and the ditch
looks a lot bigger when you get up to it. Overturned aircraft all over the field,
some stacked on each other in the display areas. Vendor booths trashed.
4 people rumored to be killed in a tent collapse, not sure though. Yesterday, the
warbird line crew routed the Yaks, CJ's, T-34's and L-17's over to a remote
strech of grass on the airport where there was a grass runway at one time...on
high ground with a slightly crowned surface for drainage. Hope all are OK there.
RedStar tent wrapped itself around my car and the doors on my hanger blew in some,
dinging the nose on my Crowder spinner. So I did the only prudent thing to
do, sat down and had a beer.

I second Doc's comment. I was planning to fly down tomorrow linking up with Hoot

G=99Day Jim,
Thanks for the email.
I have been reading about the shocking weather that has hammered the
event and seen some pictures of some nasty destruction to aircraft and
property.
I sincerely hope that all is well with you all.
Australia, in Queensland, got the bejesus belted out of it with heavy
rains, wind and flooding and even boats floating past the central
business district and buildings.
Some footage actually showed a tugboat steaming down the main street of
Brisbane.
Millions upon millions of dollars of damage to everything, buildings,
properties, boat marinas wiped out, aircraft and vehicles destroyed,
loss of life and so on. Not Good.
My thoughts are with you and all those affected by this.
Seems as if Craig Payne was pretty philosophical and accepted the
hopelessness of the situation by sitting back and cracked a tinnie.
(Opened a can of beer)
What else can one do?
Take care all of you, it=99s as Doc says, shit can be replaced,
but you all cannot.
Cheer and good luck,
Chris.
