Totally agree regarding the compressor. Or replace it with a new one of course. Regarding the bulbs, OSRAM 3899 is a direct replacement and has the correct case and bayonet. *Concerning the compressor installation, I've found it's *much* faster to remove the air/oil separator on the *left* side of the aircraft. This allows you to reach around behind the accessory case and get to the two nut s behind the compressor cylinder head. The nav lights are a specialty bulb and are readily available from any aircraft parts supplier. they are FAA PMA'ed, fit the CJ and probably all the Yak series as well. Of course they are very expensive but Doug has Chinese ones at a much better price. I was thinking about led ones for the nav. Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=336216#336216

Subject: Looking to create a scuba to schrader hose
I am looking to create a hose to go from a scuba tank to the Schrader valve on my CJ. Looking at gooseneck couplings, it seems that the high pressure ones don't have a center pin to depress the core valve. I am guessing that the air pressure itself depresses the valve? Aircraft Spruce has one http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/lgpages/gooseneck.php For the other end, I am looking for the Scuba Yoke Assembly. I have some old regulators that I may be able to take apart for this, but does anyone have any specifics on adapters that I may need? It looks like the Yoke diameter is definitely larger than the gooseneck diameter. Thanks, Tommy

Tom, You need the stage one from a scuba regulator. That will fit the yolk on the scuba tank. I have forgotten the size of the fittings you need for the high pressure line from the stage 1 to the screwed valve.
