Dennis Savarese" Subject: Re: Yak-List: Engine Primer If the fuel is coming out of the primer pump around the knurled nut and the shaft of the pump, it may very well be the flat O-ring on the end of the pump. Easy to replace and readily available. Loosen the knurled nut. Turn the primer handled to the left and extract the pump. You will see the flat O-ring on the end of the shaft. I'm sure Doug has them in stock. The reason being is the aluminum melting temperature is less than half of what the melting point is for stainless steel. God forbid you have a fire, at least the data plate has the potential of remaining in tact if it's stainless steel.
