This may seem stupid, but why can't these same companies overhaul the
Housai?

If I could get a new Housai tomorrow for 18K I'd cash in my 401K and buy as
many as I could!!
I think the bigger issue is (and part of the reason I got mine) is the fact
that there is a least one company and maybe two that are in place to do a
full overhaul of the M-14 here in the US.

Top overhauls on Housais can be done in the U.S. (I had a great experience getting
a cylinder overhauled) and I believe someone is looking at a pipeline to get
the bottom-end done in China since the cost of Housais is now high enough to
warrant fixing them.

I asked Barrett about overhauling Housais and he said they were concentrating on
M-14s but would consider it in the future.

V530 stock Two Blade propeller in excellent condition. Overhauled in 2005,
statically balanced and properly stored. Blades reconditioned and painted
epoxy gray with white tips. Back side of blades painted flat black.
