There was once a EU website that tracked how many YAKs were world wide. Do
not remember the website since the computer that had that info is TU now.

There are 278 Yak 52's, 52W's (12) and 52TW's (27) on the FAA's aircraft
registry. When doing a search, use only the model number Yak52 (without
the space between the "k" and "5"). Many of the 52's were registered
using various manufacturer names OTHER than S.C. Aerostar SA. There are
multiple manufactures listed including the 163 mentioned which show the

Only 4 x Yak 52 but an impressive 24 x CJ6A.
What is quite interesting is that approximately 85% of the CJs are located in or
near Vancouver BC, the typical point of import.

Since the -TD designation was not "officially" recognized, not all of the

To my knowledge Dave there is now only yours, Ron Thornton's, and Jim
Shaner's.
Vytas would know better what's been shipped to the states.
Since the -TD designation was not "officially" recognized, not all of
the -TD's were listed as such in the registry.
