From: Hartley I have a friend who wants to get back into flying, but has a possible medic al issue that might keep him from passing a Class III. Is there an AME on the list that is willing to chat with me off list about his condition and i f it is worth him trying for the medical? He wants to get back into airpla nes that he can travel in to far destinations with his family, so LSA isn't really his first choice. -Postal ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 05:06:53 PM PST US Subject: Re: Yak-List: Is there in a doctor in the house? I have a heart abnormality (I know you guys don't think I have one, but the problem turned out to be something else) that is a non-issue but that the doctor finally had to take notice of. I contacted AOPA to ask what I should do and followed their advice. I ended up doing a preemptive strike on the FAA medical folks before they could do one on me. AOPA told me which tests to have done and how the results should be slanted by the cardiologist before going for my physical. As a result, the AME did not feel a need to deny and OK City didn't feel a need to come back and ask for more information. I recommend the AOPA medical services highly. -- Brian Lloyd, WB6RQN/J79BPL 3191 Western Dr. Cameron Park, CA 95682 brian@lloyd.com +1.767.617.1365 (Dominica) +1.916.877.5067 (USA) ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 07:44:52 PM PST US From: cjpilot710@aol.com Subject: Re: Yak-List: Is there in a doctor in the house?
