Thanks Elmar for the offer. After my two experiences, I vowed to never
use one again.

Subject: | Taming that noisy bugger |
thanks to the slow market
I am still stuck with my CJ.
For some unknown reason I am getting
more and more sensitive to noise
(I really like gliders!!!) and
the Nanchang has that in abundance.
I've tried many headsets, helmets
and earplugs but my whole body
reacts to excessive sound pressure.
Now here comes my question:
Has anybody successfully brought
down the noise level inside a
YAK or CJ and how did you do
it?
Thank you in advance for your
input.
cheers
Elmar

I use Westones in my helmet and it's great! Can't fly without them. I only turn
my radio volume up a 1/4 turn from off and all is great.

Barry
Do you have/sell a CJ6 intake manifold drain kit that ties the lower cylinders
together at a common tap on the shelf?
TIA

Did you try noise cancelling headsets or a helmet with noise cancelling?

We sure do! I have several kits in stock. Do you have the carb heat muffs installed?
Makes a difference in the length of one of the hoses. These are all
braided hose with AN fittings.
See a pic here:

The collector tube comes back and attaches to the fuselage making access easy and
it perfectly accepts a water bottle to catch draining oil.
