Dear Listers,
You might have wondered at some pointd, "What's my Contribution used for?" Here
are just a few examples of what your direct List support enables... It provides
for the expensive, commercial-grade Internet connection used on the List.
It pays for the regular system hardware and software upgrades enabling the highest
performance possible for List services such as the Archive Search Engine,
List Browser, and the Web Forums. It pays for over 21 years (yeah, I really
said *21* years) worth of on line archive data available for instant search
and access. And, it offsets the many hours spent writing, developing, and maintaining
the custom applications that power this List Service such as the List
Browse, Search Engine, Forums, and Wiki.
But most importantly, your List Contribution enables a forum where you and your
peers can communicate freely in an environment that is free from moderation,
censorship, advertising, commercialism, SPAM, and computer viruses.
It is YOUR CONTRIBUTION that directly enables these aspects of Matronics List services.
Please support it today with your List Contribution. Its one of the
best investments you can make in your Sport!

Does anyone have a source for any of the Yak 52 hardware? Specifically I'm
looking for one of the main gear / retract arm pins - not the giant main
pin. This pin is about 1 1/2" in length, has a shallow, flat, round head
w/ one flat side and is threaded / drilled to accept a castle-type nut /
cotter pin. The number on the head appears to be 52410008. (?) I'm sure
there'll be more that I need. I tried hard to keep track of everything,
but disassembling a Yak outside...in November...in New Jersey...in the
dark...alone...on grass...I guess the next guy that mows the lawn should
wear shin guards. :) Thanks!

find one let me know! They will come at a high price I'm sure.

Ha! TRUE! Please don't get me wrong...I LOVE IT! All the bruises,
scratches and sore muscles I've incurred due to diving head-first into
the Yak could only be more-fondly viewed if they were inflicted by
Jessica Alba...

Jim,
I am sure there are many different mfg's, but the one I bought was a
Amprobe, seems to work great. Bought it on ebay for $150.00 as I recall.
What ever you get DO NOT buy one which does not have a set of head phones.
Head phones are a must.
For use on air lines:
First turn the vol way up and then when you find a leak indication (sounds
like a far away water fall or rushing air) turn the vol down until you
can barely hear it. Move the wand up the line if the noise goes away your
going the wrong way, reverse directions and the sound should get louder and
sooner or later lead you to the leak.
A leaking check valve will make a very faint fluttering sound.
