Subject: Just Two Days Left - Still Way Behind...
Dear Listers, There are just two more days left in this years List Fund Raiser. Over the last few weeks I have received some really nice comments from members on what the Lists have meant to them. I have included some of them below. Please read over the comments and ponder on your own feelings about the Lists and the support and camaraderie you have found here. We are still way behind last year in terms of the number of contributions. I really want to keep providing these services to the homebuilt community, but it take resources. Since there's no advertising budget or deep pockets to keep the operation a float, its solely your generosity during the Fund Raiser that keeps things going. Please make a Contribution today. If you've been putting off showing your support for the Lists, now is the time to do it! Make a contribution with a Credit Card or though PayPal at that Matronics Contribution web site: http://www.matronics.com/contribution Or, drop a check in the mail: Matronics / Matt Dralle 581 Jeannie Way Livermore, CA 94550 Thank you in advance for your support! Subject: Gemini Electronic Ignition - Status Update
    From: "Rhonda Bewley" <Rhonda@bpaengines.com>
Hi all. Just a quick update on our electronic ignition, Gemini, coming to the market for all M14 series engines. We have completed 41 hours of bench testing with the system and it is going quite well. A few weeks ago Kevin Kimball came to Tulsa to participate in the initial mapping of the system and initial engine runs in the test cell. Our first engine start with the system was on 11/16. The test engine is equipped with fuel injection (and AFP stock nozzle) and our high compression, 3-ring piston kit. We initially tested the engine with the automotive harness kit, and it produced 383 brake hp (not corrected.) On 11/18 Monty tested the prototype Gemini system in the test cell doing full power runs, and the engine produced 424 brake hp. System features include: Dual Hall Effect Internally Regulated Ignition Advance Profile for Cruise Power Overspeed Protection Reduced Weight Weather and Soil Resistent Wiring Harness We are very excited about the program and are gearing up for a 1st quarter of 2012 launch of the system. Final kit pricing will be available soon. The system will be available exclusively through BPE and Jim Kimball Enterprises. Rhonda Barrett-Bewley Barrett Precision Engines, Inc.
