Subject: | what are peoples thoughts on an Interavia I-3M |
I am currently working on buying a Yak-52, but if that doesn't work out I need
a plan B. Since my original desire was to build or rebuild an aircraft this fits
the bill. I came across this ad on Barnstormers.
http://www.barnstormers.com/ad_detail.php?ID=492247
I do not know much about this airplane, can anyone fill me in? What about the ad
itself? The price he is selling it for seems very good. The engine and prop
alone seem worth it. What is the process of getting something like this from France
to the US?
Thanks

Sergei Prolagayev , a well known Russian aerobatic champ, used to borrow one of
these I-3's from a friend in the states to compete in IAC advanced category
aerobatic competition. It is virtually an all metal version of a Sukhoi 29. It
is much more capable aerobatically than a Yak 52. This also means neutral stability
in pitch and a symmetrical wing . It has a better cowl design for CHT
cooling. It has had great reviews except for numbers available to buy. But if
you are doing all the restoring and can maintain it I bet the final product
