Subject: | CJ Fuel imbalance solved |
Hi all...
You may recall a month or so back I posted about fitting new bladder tanks
and fitting new vent lines etc, etc, etc
Nothing fixed the fuel imbalance problem we had had for a while where it
would feed significantly from the LH tank
After working through each area systematically we tweaked the LH aileron to
remove the slightest roll to the left and voila, problem solved.
I know some of you will say 'told you so'...
Regards, Jay

I've been contacted by an overseas aviation museum seeking around 200
50-cal dummy shells. Wisconsin convenience stores don't typically carry
that large of ammo...our shelves are full of cheese and Packer jerseys :)
'Anyone know of a source I could tap to fulfill this request? Thanks!

I'll let the statement speak for itself.
I am curious though; was it was intended as a double entendre? Or as a

Rico,
I get my blank & dummy rounds to use in movies/videos from:
High Desert Theatrical Blanks

But you may need to check on the legality of shipping out of the country
without a license.

After 57 years I have come to really appreciate the English language. It is
so flexible. The double entendre is often a useful tool when trying to
cement an idea in the mind of someone who is hard-headed.
Or just good for a laugh.
But sometimes, they just happen.

Only if one uses the wrong damping fluid.

Gil,
On my earlier CJ my mechanic at the time replaced the trim wire using a fine, woven
US wire after he twice tried using the Chinese wire. The woven wire was
much easier to work with, and he was able to purchase a much longer length of
the US wire making it much simpler to lead through and install on the trim wheels.
I have electric three-axis trim tabs on my current CJ. If I was doing it over
I would keep the manual tim for the elevator and use electric for aileron and
rudder.

I sure it is not a power problem. I would open the unit clean and re-lube the bearings.
Or send it out to get it done.
