Roger,
Try the McFarlane company.  They built one for me years back but could not
thread it as they did not have metric dies.  I have them here so that was
not a problem.  Outside sheath is simply copper tubing available in any hdw
store.

I have a Nanchang rear cockpit clock (small)

for sale, quite rare nowadays.

The dial is re-screened and the clock
is in perfect working condition, asking
US$ 69.
