Mark, you might enjoy a full mail-box as an indication of popularity, but if
you do sell your 50,is there a chance that you might sell it as an aircraft,
BUT if as a collection of parts, it would be great if you could avoid
selling them item by item!!

Hi Elmar,
I have no problem with your posting something relevant you want to sell, but
it seemed that you are selling an entire aircraft, and were listing it part
by part!!

Richard, Didier, thank you for pointing
that out. You are absolutely right, the
list is not for selling things but provide valuable information to fellow
pilots.
I will not clog the list anymore with
parts sale and move on to ebay.
Thanks again and Blue Skies.
cheers

Anthony,
Try the toothpaste or any other polish trick and see if it works, it does a great
job in a lot of cases.
If you're still stuck after that, contact me off list.

Thanks guys, I will try toothpaste to see how it goes. My fear is the discoloration
is on the inside of the glass, but it is going in for paint next week so
I guess will ask to put "toothpaste cleaning of tank gauges" on the work order
:-)
Still interested in gear extenders and a sighting device if anyone can help with
that.
Thanks for the replies.
Anthony.

Subject: | Re: Yak 55M parts |
Years ago I had a attitude indicator which was yellowed on the face. I
soon discovered that the yellow was on the inside surface of the glass. I
very carefully removed the face and applied paint thinner, did not touch
it, next tried lacquer thinner, no joy, next I moved to the macho
stuff......MEK! did not even soften it up, the yellow was stuck like glue,
so in a last ditch effort I applied some paint remover, but still the
yellow was there. So defeated I proceeded to the shop sink to wash off the
paint remover with water.......ya you guessed it, the yellow stuff is
water soluble. Thought I'd post this just in case you discover the problem
is in fact on the inside of the glass.

Guys,
Thanks to everyone for pointing me in the direction of John Manduca at www.smokingairplanes.com Spent close to half an hour on the phone with him putting together a system that will be best for what I'm looking to do with my CJ. Very knowledgeable about CJs and Yaks. Great resource.
Coop, give John a call at (661) 713-9050. He may have the answer you're looking
for.

Yes, Desser still recaps CJ tires. We just sent two sets of new Chinese
tires to them for capping. Talk to Tony 323-721-4900 ex 314 We can ship
to them, they will recap and reship to you if you call and set it up with
Tony.

Anyone have any info on these "new" planes?
