Subject: | Yak 50 Oil Pressure Gauge |
I noticed a loose nut in my oil pressure gauge 10 hours ago. Today after a
sequence over the airport I noticed 0 oil pressure. It is the gauge or
transmitter or whatever. The engine is running perfectly. Any tips here?
Is the gauge repairable or is there another possible problem? Just
looking for experienced ideas before we head off in the wrong direction.
Thanks Gord

Gord,
Had the same problem that was solved by replacing my oil pressure
transducer. For the CJ there are two, one for the forward and one for
the aft cockpits. Easy job. While I was at it replaced both. Got them
from Doug Sapp. No issues since. If the aft cockpit oil pressure
indication is normal, you can switch transducer hookups to confirm that
is the problem.

Thanks Warren. Where is the transducer located on the CJ? Hopefully that
is the problem with an easy fix. Gord
