On the end of the carbon pile voltage regulator is a rheostat with a flathea d screw in the center. Mark Bitterlich will have to chime in on the directio n to rotate it if that is the same system that you have in the 55. In the 50 the regulator is on the upper left side of the firewall above the main air b ottle when standing up in the hell hole facing forward. doc Sent from my iPad On Jun 3, 2012, at 9:38 AM, Mark Sorenson <captainsorenson@hotmail.com> wrot e: >> Gentlemen, >> >> I have read in past posts about the over voltage scenario and feel I am d ealing with the same problem. >> >> I have two Yak 55's one with the original system and one with a B &C. I have just been offered some Yak 50 bits. Canopy, main and aux fuel tanks, oil tank oil lines rudder pedals, air oil separator, landing gear set, and ailerons. All except canopy slider are new old stock. Prices are a little high so I am not going to buy for inventory. If interested contact me of list. George Coy CAS Ltd. 714 Airport Rd. Would it be possible for Bradly and yourself to advise of engine TSO or TSN at this gear train failure. Sounds like a very good candidate for a periodic inspection, probably applicable to all models of the Ivchenko engine series. Has anyone else found a problem here? Any comments from George Coy, Richard Broome, etc.? Hello Walt , the Tso is 425 odd and the TSN is around 1815 I do not have the exact log times with me as they are now with the Caa for the investigation. I would recommend an inspection as it would only mean the removal of the oil pump and then using a mirror visually inspect the 2 tab washers and the retaining nuts. And then the re-fitting of the oil pump /fuel pump assembly. -----Original Message----- From: owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Walter Lannon Sent: 04 June 2012 05:53 AM Subject: Re: Yak-List: Conclusion to the Engine out question --> Yak-List message with posted by: "Walter Lannon" <wlannon@shaw.ca> Would it be possible for Bradly and yourself to advise of engine TSO or TSN at this gear train failure.
