Oliver, I drain the M-14P oil sump into a paper painter's funnel with a fine mesh screen at the bottom. It's temporarily held in place with some cable lacing and drains into a plastic bucket directly underneath. I never expect to find any metal chips, bit it's always nice to know that they are not there. 5/8" heater hose 3.5' long into a 5 gallon bucket for the sump. 5/8" heater hose 5' long from the oil tank to the bucket. A twist of safety wire on the ends of both to hang on a nail above a trash can to finish dripping out on a couple of paper towels after the change prevents a later mess as well.
