Thanks for that info. Attached is a photo I took today with the unit still installed in the airframe. It looks to me like one whole side of the relay burned off. I also took a photo of the two balls of copper that liberated themselves at disassembly. (Formerly braided wire on the burnt side) I will remove the unit and (carefully) try your suggestion to see if we can get battery power with it removed. We did recharge the batteries and have been able to use normal battery power and all electrical systems (sans the charging system, of course) with no problems. Would love to learn how to replace it with a mil-spec 28v relay. Please advise.
