Do you use iPad in flight? Where do you mount it? If you use your iPad on a kneeboard, how do you wear it so it does not get in the way of your control stick? Thanks in advance, Robin-

I have only used it in the back seat. There does not seem to be a good solution for using something so big in the front. I am able to use my IPhone in the front on my soft kneeboard with no problem and it does everything the IPad does only it is smaller. Maybe soon there will be a 7" IPad. Robin, There are flexible iPhone holders with an articulating arm. These can be attached to the instrument panel and will hold a iPhone vertically or horizontally in front of you. This arrangement, with the iPhone ForeFlight Mobile app provides a wealth of information, comparable to my Garmin 496... and in some ways even better. There are iPad holders that wrap around your leg, allowing you to use the iPad like a big electronic kneeboard. But for the kind of flying that we do in the CJ and Yak, this approach, which requires that you be head down, seems to me to be less than optimal. Amazing times we live in! I have a Russian built MTV-9-B-C prop on my Yak-18T, with Russian governor. At cruise MP of "6", I cannot get the RPM less than 72% in level flight, and it goes up to 80% in the descent. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, PJ

I have a iPad knee board but found it gets in the way if on my right knee an d fairly useless on the left. Ended up folding it up and putting in the flig ht bag and using my iPhone running the fore flight program. That was in the y ak. PJ, I believe the MTV Prop requires a stronger spring in the prop governor. Please contact the MTV folks in Florida (can't remember where in Florida though) and ask them about it. Dennis A. MT will have nothing to do with the Russian props since they were cheated on royalties that were due!! So it is a major problem to get these props overhauled.
