Subject: | Russian MTV Propeller Pitch |
I went through a long and drawn out discussion with MT directly
concerning this issue and strongly confirm what Richard said in his
message.

MT will have nothing to do with the Russian props since they were
cheated on
royalties that were due!!
So it is a major problem to get these props overhauled.

PJ,
I believe the MTV Prop requires a stronger spring in the prop governor.
Please contact the MTV folks in Florida (can't remember where in Florida
though) and ask them about it.

My operating limitations include a restriction from entering Class B airspace.
Does anybody else have this? More importantly, has anybody tried to have this
limitation lifted?

Mike,
The latest revision of the FAA Order, 8130.2G, does not appear to have
the Class B restriction anywhere in it. You can contact your local FSDO
and as them if they would please reissue the OL's using the latest
version of the FAA Order, 8130.2G.
What I did was open the file and do a search for "Class B".
http://www.faa.gov/documentLibrary/media/Order/8130.2G.pdf. There was
only one instance found for "Class B" and it was not related to
restricting entering Class B airspace.
Doesn't your OL's say "without prior permission" or something like that?

I've had it for 10 years. It says "Unless approved by ATC." Which you need
their permission before entering anyway. Never had any problem including
ramp checks for flying into Airshows within Class B airspace. In talking
with the FSDO, they read it the same way.

Subject: | FAA Warbird Paperwork |
I just recently bought a CJ-6 and I am trying to make sure I am in complian
ce with the FAA. Through some reading I found that I am supposed to submit
(to the local FSDO) a Program Letter indicating any events or air shows I
may be attending for the year. Does anyone have a generic copy of such a l
etter that I can borrow? I could not find one. Also=2C in the order I was
reading (FAA Order 8130.2G) it mentioned that with an experimental airwort
hiness certificate I may need to provide a copy of an FAA approved inspecti
on program if required. How do I find out if I am required or not? If I a
m required do you happen to know where I can get a template for a CJ-6 insp
eciton program?
Thanks=2C
Tom
PS. Thanks to everyone for the advise on my air leak. I'm going to tackle
that problem this weekend=2C I'll let you know how it goes.
