Gents Thanks for the input. Yes i meant the engine fuel primer. I do think i have a seal kit from Doug already on the shelf so i'll pull the thing appart as per Dennis's instructions and replace it. Wlll also lubricate upon re-assembly. Not sure what mouse milk is :D but I have some white grease I could use. The prop seals were replaced, upon further inspection the leak seems to be coming from the root of prop blades (not the dome seal). Are you absolutely certain the inner prop piston seal was correctly installed when you replaced them? If you pull the prop hub dome and piston and look inside the hub, do you see oil lying inside the hub? If there is oil inside the hub, either the small, inside seal was put in backwards or the oil is leaking in to the hub from the back end (threaded end) of the oil tube. The inside of the hub should be dry. No oil whatsoever. Did you replace the blade collett seals? These seals are located on the inside of the large castellated nuts on the side of the hub. You must unscrew the blades, remove the counterweight clamps and remove the large castellated nut on each side. Then remove, clean and repack the large bearings, the race for the inside bearing and the slider. The seals are usually in the hub seal kit. Dennis A. Robin, They are conversion fittings to convert the metric to AN fittings. Most of the US Rubber and Hose companies can supply those. If you can't find them try Montgomery Rubber and Gasket @ 334-277-5302. I have a set that I was going to use to convert my Metric to An fitting off the Oil pump on my 50 to remove the sharp bend in the hose coming from the oil pump to the oil cooler. Robin, Those are male threaded hose fittings. You need both that ending and the curved AN/Metric female fittings. They come in straight and the 45 deg. Bend you see in the picture. Unfortunately the CRS bug has hit and I do not remember the exact name of the fitting. Go to your local Parker hydraulic supplier and ask for a fitting catalog. It is all in there, or take the picture with you and show them what you want. Frank

Preparing to leave the Gadsden clinic the other day, I was doing my runup in the runup area , pointed at the cheapest object, I heard a pop and the plane (Yak 50) rolled forward. I turned the engine off with the mags. The brake cable had broken at the lever end. This was a potential disaster. It could have happened in a crowded area. This is a single point failure item that can have disastrous consequences. At least a through look during annual inspection and a replacement every five years? David H.
