I don't care what Blitz say I love this CJ Barry! As for the Hannah Hou (right
name?) its a beautiful airplane no doubt and a couple mods are something that
every CJ needs (cowling, winglets) but you can HAVE that paint job and for the
money dumped into that project I can think of a ton more bang for the buck.

Just double checking...37 degrees? also, anyone have any thoughts on this;
connection at emergency air bottle is good, Front cockpit E air valve is perfect
with SS needle, I rebuilt the check valve (Doug's kit) on front right firewall.
The emergency bottle will still not hold air.

If you pull that prop through by the tip I think there is enough leverage to do
some initial damage to a rod with a piston or two filled with oil? Then during
start the oil from the intake? Whatever the case, what a shame.

I had a hole develop in bottle itself from rust and had to replace. You will not
be able to hold air for more than 30 secs or so and you'll be able to hear
it back at drain access door. Other culprits could be the shutoff valves/gauges
in individual cockpits.

No, you will not damage the engine pulling it through by hand. But once it
is turning (i.e. running), it has considerable inertia and when a piston
comes down into a cylinder partially filled with oil, it simply cannot go
further and the weakest link is the connecting rod, which will bend.

Cockpit valves look like new, lines are tight.
I believe the gauges measure line pressure and not bottle pressure like the main
air system. I'm going to recheck the schematic.

On the CJ, the main system gauge measures line pressure until you open
the main air valve. Then it measures the pressure in the main air
bottle. The emergency gauge measures the emergency bottle pressure
because it reads the pressure all the time without the emergency air
valve opened.

Years ago, our emergency system also drained down. A ultrasonic tester fou
