Yak pilots in the SeaTac/South Sound area
      
      
      There are a number of Yaks in the area. 
      
      Bud Granley operates an 18T and 52 in the area.  I've seen several Yaks at Arlington
      (not the airshow). 
      
      And of course, there are several Yaks and CJs operated by members of Cascade Warbirds,
      as well as an IAR.
      
      I would start be taking a look at cascadewarbirds.org and contacting folks on their

      I would appreciate it if I could get some local input from the Yak/Red Star community
      in the Tacoma/South Sound area. I am contemplating a new position out there,
      and wonder what it will mean for my flying (other than MUCH better IFR proficiency...<VBG>).
      Where do people base their aircraft, how difficult is the
      local FSDO to deal with, etc.
