Have any of you Left Coast Yakkistas put your bird on skis yet? I mean Snow in

I've wondered the same thing...a wee bit "dirty" flying I suspect...signed, from
the Tundra...where the cold wind blows...and we never eat the yellow snow...

Yakovlev made a fair number of ski kits to fit 52s for winter use. I believe Russian
engineering in the UK have a set, which they were keen to sell.

I know where there is a set. They have air operated "claws" on the bottom of the
main wheel skis that assist breaking and turning.

I am searching for a CJ6A instructor, preferably in the Upper Midwest,
to obtain some additional training in my CJ in early spring. I'm located
in Southern Minnesota and because of our cold winters, do not fly this
particular aircraft. A refresher course once the cold, snow and ice are
in remission would be a top priority.
The aircraft was totally restored a few years ago and is in top
mechanical condition.
