After I told him it was a 5g he said two "Russian" guys who stopped by to buy some parts said it "was" a 7g. Sad , well I tried. Buyer beware still applies. Watch out for those "Russian" experts. Anyone know of a good litmus test to determine titanium or SST? Doug had a great technique of cutting the rings instead of the tube. Would be good to be armed with both options though. Easy way to tell without grinding on it and looking at the sparks is to have someone weigh a stainless section and then you weigh yours. Titanium should be only 2/3 the weight of the stainless section. You can acid test it as well . Look on the web for a spark grind or acid/ chemical test. I don't remember off hand what the chemicals are, sorry. You will need to purge the inside of the exhaust with argon as well while welding it. Get someone to weld it for you if your not a good welder with good equipment. It will be cheap compared to buying a new exhaust because your newly welded one is off slightly and now doesn't fit. I thin you might try aircraft exhaust inc. they build and repair m-14 exhaust systems.
