Output from the oil tank? On the return line after the oil passes through the oil cooler? You could also have oil temperature probes on both the outlet and inlet, like the CJ does. This shows how much actual cooling occurs after the oil passes through the oil cooler. Does your installation have an oil filter? If yes, is the temperature probe located in the oil filter housing? Is the oil filter fitted to the output side of the engine driven oil pump (scavenge side of the oil pump) or after the oil cooler and before the oil goes back into the oil tank? As Doc says, close off or tape off a section of the oil cooler. Verify the oil temperature probe and oil temperature instrument are providing accurate information. Dennis A. Would anyone out there have a serviceable compressor you'd be willing to A) loan out (w/ a deposit) for testing purposes or B) sell outright at a price that will still allow me to purchase fuel IF my Yak ever becomes a fully-functioning aircraft? Wow. Hydraulics seem super-sexy to me right now... I would highly appreciate any help, Guys!
