I have been asked to attend two airshows (Geneseo and Ottawa) this summer with my modest Nanchang as a static display. I have no prior experience and am wondering what the typical expectations are. What do I bring? How long do I have to stay at my plane etc etc etc... I just want to make sure I do our community proud. Thanks, Phil Nicholson C-FEPN Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=401515#401515

Rich, Can anyone get me pictures of the 18T's wheel well with the gear attachment p oints, drag links, actuator placement and the gear oleo. Basically I want to see how the 18T's gear box looks. Are there any gear legs and gear attachment points available for the 18T? Doc Sent from my iPad On May 29, 2013, at 1:01 PM, Robin Hou <rmhou@yahoo.com> wrote: > > Super! The last couple times I did it there wasn't too much for expectations. I made a propeller card that described the plane (in case I had to run for food or such). I opened the cowl (everyone loves a radial). I made sure I brought a camping chair and sat with the plane almost the whole day. For the more interesting in the crowd I invited them into the cockpit. Lots of great comments. Having done several of these, I mostly find them to be fun. People seem to genuinely interested in the CJ especially when I tell them all about the pneumatic system. I always have a back-seater along and he keeps an eye on things when I need to leave. Be sure and have camp seats, lots of water and, if the organizers are not providing it, food. Red Star has a great pitot cover flag with "Please Look but Don't Touch" on one side and its a good idea to have this or a sign that says the same thing. The worse thing I experienced was a young boy being allowed to run his metal toy car along the aileron. I stopped him gently and explained to the errant parents the huge potential for damage to the fabric. They were most apologetic and promised to keep a closer eye on their kid. So have fun and be sure and bring your smile and sense of humor. -------- Coop Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=401574#401574
