From: "Mozam" As I recently posted, I installed Dennis Savarese's auto plug conversion and am very happy with it. I was wondering what exact plug you guys have found to work best? The higher the number, the colder the plug. Keep the gaps to around .020. You'll find the engine will start and run better by doing so. BTW, Terry Slawinski installed the "7's" first and found the engine would run rough, especially at low RPM. I recommended he change to the "6's" and he's been running them ever since. I believe at least 3 years now. But he does change the plugs every annual. I mention this because both of you have the PF engines and TW's. FWIW. Dennis A. From: "Dale" I run the NGK BR6 iridium in my PF . Do not gap them as they have machine ground gaps set at the factory and will tolerate a lot less fouling because of the wider angled gap. The iridium plug has less resistance and can jump a wider spark. The 7 was too cold in my straight M-14 and carbon fouled at times after long ground runs or long taxi's, the 6 never did and runs tan in color where the 7 had the black soot, for kicks we ran some 8,s and it fouled them every time no mater what we did. NGK holdsthe patent on connecting iridium to a plug. I believe DENSO uses the same technique under the NGK patent.
