True, an M-14 powered CJ with a 3 bladed prop would crush a t-34, also true 10K was not a good altitude for performance tests. Last, Come on Doc!....a Yak 50 vs a T-34 with two guys who have actual ACM training is like fighting an F-4 with a an F-22 [Wink] Bottom line, if you are enjoying your ride, who cares what some Putz at AOPA writes? ~Wiz -------- Keith McKinley 700HS X26 Sebastian, FL Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=403666#403666 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 09:13:26 PM PST US Subject: Yak-List: CK gear checks From: "keithmckinley" I am working with a local AI on my condition inspection. He has no CJ experience and I'm looking for the proper method to test the gear. The CJ maintenance manual and the Condition Inspection checklist from RPA (Craig Payne) are different. I seem to recall the guy who did my annuals "bleed" the gear up and down slowly. I'm not sure if this is a correct method to test the emergency side. If any one has a good procedure they would share please drop me a line. I do have a set of 4 CJ jacks Thank you, Keith McKinley keith@mckinley.us -------- Keith McKinley 700HS X26 Sebastian, FL Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=403673#403673 ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 10:05:57 PM PST US Subject: Re: Yak-List: Re: AOPA Article From: "Roger Kemp M.D." Roger that! Place the gear handle in the neutral position. squeeze the brake leaver until the system is depleted. Lower the gear handle and activate the emergency side. Correct me if I'm wrong Dennis.
