(iva ILG and a sorted other places) Anyway "The Three Toed Dragon" won't be back to FD44 until mid August. I got my cruise fuel flow down considerably with my prop still needing some tweaking. On the first leg from FD44 to CPC I burned 12.84 gal/hr (best winds were at 3,500'). On the second leg CPC to ILG at 5,500' I burned 12.95. For years I would burn 15.5 to 16+ with the way I was flying it. Prices are begaining to have its effect on my bottom line. I'm thinking Craig Payne's help too. Well I'm off to a family reuion in DC. Take care Jim "Pappy" Gooldby ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 12:59:18 PM PST US From: Cory Robin Subject: Yak-List: Oil pressure not regulating (high) Any ideas? At idle, it returns to normal pressure, but at any other power setting it pegs the gauge. Here's a quick video link demonstrating what the gauge looks like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kIlVea_9DA (Note: the high oil temp is unrelated, I ran the engine a bit too hot with the oil shudders closed on my wilga) Any suggestions for troubleshooting this would be helpful. ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 01:19:40 PM PST US From: "George Coy" Subject: RE: Yak-List: Oil pressure not regulating (high) Looks like a bad electrical connection. Oil pressures cannot change that fast! Seems the best way to go is removing the generator and bolting in a plate with an eye hook (to lift the engine of course). There was a .PDF file with the measurements posted but I decided to put it in a CAD file. (autocad 2013). It's attached in 2D if anyone wants it. The plate is 1/4" steel and the eyebolt is 3/8". I got it cut on a cnc for 25 bucks. -------- Keith McKinley 700HS X26 Sebastian, FL Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=404499#404499 Attachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/gen_plate_106.dwg ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 03:41:45 PM PST US From: "A. Down to 19 limitations. The biggest change is we do not need to get a new airworthiness certificate if the planes owner or home base changes. This change will be submitted in the new program letter.
