I do not believe that the Yak 54 has problems in spin recovery, provided these are done correctly, as is required for any aircraft. However the Yak 52 is very different, and spins, particularly "flat" should not be attempted without good instruction. Could you tell me about the yak 54...... I've been told that this aircraft has a problem causing accident. I read something about CG with low fuel unstoping spinning! http://www.ntsb.gov/aviationquery/brief2.aspx?ev_id 001211X10442&ntsbno=AN C98FA110&akey=1 Thanks Olivier Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=415553#415553 -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.

No - the 50 is very different, and will always recover easily, both erect and inverted. It has about the same size control surfaces as the 52, but far less rotational inertia which is what can make flat spin recovery so prolonged in the 52.
