You ask why do that and I need to remove and replace the generator clutch drive which is located in the accessory section. The manuals don't give any insight into what to look out for when pulling it apart...the air start distributor and mags hang off the section and I don't want to screw up the timing. So I'm looking for a little assistance and guidance to make this process the least painful as possible. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob Davis CJ Pilot ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 10:34:25 AM PST US Subject: Re: Yak-List: Removing Aft Accessory Section From: doug sapp Bob, I think with my "help" it would be "the blind leading the blind" as I have never been into that end of the HS6A. You might try Jill at M14P INC. Sometimes they are very helpful, others it seems that they are protecting the info. Guess all they can say is "I don't know". I'd give Jill a call and see what she has to say. If I was attempting it I would remove the prop to eliminate ANY chance of the blade being bumped even a little bit, which would change the start timing. Beyond that I really don't have any ideas. A lthough he works mostly on M14ps, they are almost the same. While I Have ti med the start valve on the M14p, the hardest part I found was getting the st eel lines back on. You really have to know the procedure, which part of the valve to line up, and a tool to do that. In my case I use a piece of loope d .040 safety wire.
