Some lessons learned...don't use chinese replacement cable (spiral winding
has a mind of its own and it is brittle) use a similar braided cable (more
pliable). When you wind the cable on the spools zip tie it to hold in
place...and the key item...there is a pulley behind the rear seat bulkhead
that is removable. Because it deflects the run in a "v" when it is out of
its mount you have slack to work with to get everything in place and
turnbuckles attached. Once you put it back in position (pin with cotter
key) you do final adjust with turnbuckle.
I'm sure you'll get more complete advice...but that's what I wish I knew
before I started.

Subject: Missed it!
"Well when God closes a door, its best not to keep to keep banging on it."
Twice this morning I tried to go down to S&F in my brother "Aeropoop". I
tried to takeoff just before dawn to fly to Palatka to fuel up. I wanted to
get way ahead of the crowd going to the show. On takeoff, right after
lifting off, the side window blew out, so I aborted with plenty of runway left.
Found the window and went back to the hangar to fix it. On the second try,
I was well airborne climbing over the trees, when the window started to
blow out again! However this time it stayed in the frame and I was able to
return for a quick landing.. Darn, with all the doctor appointments, my
airplane being broke, and visitors, I missing S&F for the first time in 19
years. \:-(
