I think it would be simple to get a template for the wood part of the cradle and
fabricate that.  Then you need to have a welder offset it to a jack.  I would
have a tripod stand made and get a $49.99 long ram hydraulic jack from Harbor
Freight.  Have a welder make a sleeve that fits the top of the hydraulic piston
to a flat plate that is offset.  Bolt the wood bracket to the plate.

You could probably make this for less than $200.
