Bruno
We removed all the defunct Chinese military radio crap from this area and from
both cockpits. This lightened my a/c by something like 50kg!
I believe the way it's been done on your a/c is a quick cheap solution and would
encourage the above modification which will allow you to do away with the steel
ballast plates in the area you mentioned.
It's quite involved to do and will require re-weighing and ballasting.
Either way you have a problem with those loose rivets that needs fixing right NOW!

Subject: | High Altitude Takeoff Mixture |
I have been doing some flight planning in case I decide to purchase a CJ in
the high country and came up with a question. Forgive my ignorance since
I've only ever flown in the flatlands. Stock CJ's have a mixture tab which
pulls the mixture lever back with the throttle. What would I do if I were
in some airport with a density altitude of 12k ft? as would be common on a
hot day any where in the mountain country?
Assuming the answer is push the mixture control with the throttle on
takeoff, where would I stop pushing the mixture? half way? Personal
experience has taught me that mixture control next to full throttle
mixture cutoff and no fuely no flyee.
Thanks
Ernie

Subject: | Re: B&C alternator on Yak 52 |
George Coy was kind enough to send me a procedure that he submitted to the Yak
design bureau several years ago. They turned it into a service bulletin. It specifically
addresses the changeover to a Jasco alternator but is generic enough
to give me the info I need. Thanks George!

Subject: | Vibrating control |
Hi All
I have just replaced an engine and prop in my cj6 and now have a bit of a vibration.
On low Rpm it feels normal but at about 1200rpm there is a bit of vibration
on the aircraft taxing at higher rpm about 1400 rpm it seem to go away.
while flying there is a definite vibration on the stick.
At low rpm 1700 to 1900 the vibration its not to bad and I would describe it as
a slow vibration but as you increase the rpm the vibration speeds up quite a
bit shaking the stick . It does not feel as if the air frame is shaking abnormally
but only on the stick.
Does anybody have a suggestion as to what it could be or is it just an unbalance
prop.
