Gents, Based out of X26 in Sebastian, FL and actually have a huge sky dive center on the field but no one who is a rigger that can repack a seat pack (or wants to). Looking for a place I can fly into with 150 miles or so of MLB to drop the chutes off. I know Strong is in Orlando, but off airport. Anyone have a rigger that would fit the bill? Buddy Blue in Auburn packs mine. He ran a skydive center out of Tuskegee. He also does the CAF's seat packs at Peachtree City. Contact me off list. I stand corrected Keith. Since mine are coming due I just called Buddy to see if he could do them. He has decided to quit. He said at 78 he thought it was time to quit. He knows of a guy in BHM that does them that is friend of his. He is sending me the contact info. Gents, My local A&P guy has machined a very nice carb heat adaptor for the M-14P engine that does not get in the way of the lower cowling. Air is pulled across the exhaust and into the back of the carburetor air box via some standard 2-inch SCEET ducting. My last trip to OSHKOSH had me in the clouds twice, wishing there was the option for some bone fide carb heat on my CJ. Here are some pictures. I=92ll be at Oshkosh is anyone wants to see this. Just installed M14-P engine on CJ6. Does anyone have an operational manual for CJ6 with M14-P engine? Excited for much more horsepower. But also want to make sure I operate it properly. Thanks, Wei Chen

Wei, Use the same airspeed limits. At the normal best rate of climb speed, you'l l find a gigantic increase in rate of climb and slightly increase in its an gle. At the best glide speed, you'll find a much steeper angle due to the p rop drag and the speed will drop off quickly in landing flare, if you are at idle. Remember too, you'll be burning fuel at a greater rate therefore the time to dry tanks is shorter. Will not gain much range if any. With the standard t anks - I use to flight plan for 2 hours (about 300nm) figuring having :20 r eserve. BTW make sure you get your weight & balance set up properly. The M14 weight s a little more than the HS6a so you may have to adjust your ballast. With the M14p you'll see much better performance at the normal speeds. Take off distances will be much shorter, climb angle steeper, etc etc. The airsp eed limits don't change.
