They were too hard to find and too expensive when I did my conversion. It has not been a problem (so far) to operate without them. I live in east Texas, your mileage will vary. Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=425274#425274

Hank. I used to make that trip monthly for business. 1st, be sure to top off fuel by TMB at least. Fuel in Key West is pushing $7.00. It's a 45 min flight from TMB to EYW direct and 55 min flight by way of Marathon (south to 5 miles away and then west to EYW). This route keeps many small islands nearby as you cross the huge open bay waters. While crossing the 7 mile bridge, contact the Navy base freq listed. This is approach control and will hand you off to EYW once south of the field. Plan on flying south of the islands to key west and remain 3 miles off the Navy base as you pass by and at or below 1000 ft. This is a requirement. This will put you out over the reefs as you pass. It is a very scenic flight. Oh and also while on approach control, you may hear the Navy jets communication and possibly see them pass as they go on their sorties. Exciting smoke trail view. Good luck and have fun.
