I'm selling my Nanchang and am interested in doing owner financing for a worthy buyer that I'm working with (and a person I know well). Has anyone used an escrow company to set this up and, if so, do you have any recommendations for one? Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=427070#427070

Joe, I am sorry but I really can't help you with this. Any Western radio will work, and would be a wise move to install. I am sure there are folks somewhere that repair the things, and I started to get into that at one time and then decided that it was not worth the effort. No Tx or Rx is PROBABLY the PLL board... if you can find one to replace it with. Joe- my Russian radio was giving constant static in my Yak-18T and nobody seems to support them as parts are scarce. I put in a FlightLine 760 2 1/4 square Radio and new Sigtronics intercom. What a relief from all that static. Planes of very similar spec in our area have sold between $130,000 and $160,000. Of course you're going to get lookie-loo's saying it should be $80,000 because someone unloaded an M14 Nanchang for $74k but it's not for you to educate lookie-loo's about the value being tied to the individual plane and not to the market of vaguely similar but inferior planes. I was just reading through the log books of my CJ. At some point some mechanic started adding Glycerine into the air tank, and there was an entry where he added a mixture of ACF-50 and glycerine. The manual states castor oil only. Anyone know the implications of this concoction on the actuator seals and the rest of the air system? Ernie
