Officially for the V - 530 it is six years or 500 hours, and a two-year
"shelf life" after overhaul before being used. So the total calendar life
becomes seven years. However, once it is used, the calendar life continues
to accumulate so, officially, you can't keep removing a propeller and then
putting it back on again and only counting the time that it is mounted on
the aircraft.
In the end, it must depend what your local authorities rule, but having had
a major propeller failure on a VP prop myself, I would not wish this on
anyone!

I can't find this on Matronics nor anywhere else on Internet, hence my
question.
What is the requirement from Manufacturers perspective, but also recommended
for this prop V530TA-D35 on a YAK-52:
1. doing Aero's
2. normal flying
I believe that the manufacturer recommended from the old Russian logbook 400
hours or 6 years, our local Russian AMO says 500 hours or 5 years.
Our local Prop Centre says at least 3 years if you do Aero's due to
torgue/forces on the prop.
Our current prop is at +-220 hours Since overhauled, but last overhaul 2004.
Total hours +-860 and manufactured 1988 However it was removed at 131 hours
and 1 year from aircraft in 2005.
It had 2 MPI inspections between 2005 and 2013 Was fitted to aircraft again
in 2013 at 161 hours.
So it "flew" approx 30 hours on another aircraft.
It is currently in the Prop Centre as there was some wear and tear on the
Furrells which need repair. (caused slight play on blades)
This is in South Africa flying Non Type Certified or similar to Experimental
in other countries.
However, from safety aspect, what is the recommendation regarding overhaul
timelines?

SteveO, I changed your subject line so the original thread would remain the same.
The impacts I have seen from the aerobatics that you have described (such as Lomcevaks)
impact themselves mostly with the engine. The most immediate and obvious
being with leaking shaft seals on the reduction drive assembly (which require
a special tool to replace) and also worn "Rubbers" on the engine mounts.
The seal leaking is pretty obvious as oil will be pretty much all over everywhere.
The engine rubbers not so much.. you have look carefully.
Vibration issues can be caused by so many many things, I think it would take a
book to cover them all. :-)
Not the exact answer to your question, but on the same topic... sorta.

As I've just fitted some new Whirlwind composite blades to my original hub in my
Yak55m I would be also be interested to know peoples opinions on this.
Aerobatics could mean a large range of things ... I'm doing a fair amount of flat
spins, snaps and Lomcevaks at high power settings. This must stress the hub
a lot more than a simple loop. I am also having some vibration issues.
The hubs got 360 hrs on it. 90% of those hours are moderate to serious aerobatics.
What the overhaul time in that scenario ?

Thank you Richard. I would guess calendar life covers things such as corrosion,
seal life, lubricant life. I can't see how a blanket 500 hrs operation limit
covers the huge variety of stress props can be put under. One would think both
the 5 years and 500 hrs are based on hardest use scenario. humid salt air environment
; Yak55, Su26--31 type of use. You didn't mention what failed on you
VP incident. Did you have to abandon the aircraft? ..... Time to have my chut
repacked.... [Shocked]
But seriously, what fails on these hubs, is there on underlying weakness?
