My talks with the FAA concerns documents they are requiring, that I have not be able to acquire. The FAA is asking for a release from the military to the dealer. Their detail sheet describing what is needed to register an imported aircraft, requires a statement of non-registration, which does not show where the plane came from and they will not accept. What docs normally come with the CJ-6, a military release? Any advice is appreciated. We test it using the following sequence; Close off the main valve with the gear retracted, then drain the air from the system (using brake lever), then open the reserve tank, then move the UC lever to neutral and the gear will retract. Mostly slamming down hard leg by leg and sometimes the final leg will need the lever moved all the way to 'down' position to extend it. Question; Does anyone have the actual factory procedure? Is there a method to 'buffer' the violent slamming down. I have thought about not draining the air from the system when switching from Main to Reserve and testing it with a few cycles from the reserve bottle but the logic is that this is not an accurate simulation but with no air in the system the extension can be severe. I'd like to be able to properly test the system to procedure while keeping the aeroplane on the jacks - it's not quite that severe but I'm sure you all know what I mean. -------- Yak 18T Sydney VH-IBT Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=428819#428819 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message yak-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/Yak-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/yak-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/yak-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
