Subject: | Air system Flush |
Anyone have any suggestions on flushing out the air lines of a CJ? I was
just thinking of injecting a little tool oil just beyond the desiccant, and
disconnect the B-Nuts at all the actuators and then empty a few scuba
bottles through the systems while actuating the Gear and Flap handles.
Thoughts???
Thanks
Ernie

Subject: | Vpered AV-14 Prop Overyhaul |
My CJ swings a Vpered AV-14 prop powered by a M-14B. Both engine and prop
were installed new "0" time and now have about 140 hours on them. I have
been unable to find any information concerning the overhaul specifications
and a supplier for the necessary seals and O-rings, in this country at
least. I was hoping that someone, possibly in Europe, may have a contact or
some knowledge as to how I could obtain the necessary overhaul specs and
replacement seals.
Since they outwardly seem very similar, could the Chinese JL-2A prop be a
license built version of the AV-14 and therefore have the same overhaul
specs and use the same seals?

Didier,
May I suggest with all due respect:
>My plane helps me to fly away from this!!!!
Flying away from this is the problem.
Stop running.
Get involved.
Do something.
If it is bad and evil...say so, and say it loudly, clearly, and often.
It is not =9CSomeone else=99s problem.=9D
It is your problem and only you can fix it.
Rear up on your hind legs and actively fight the problem.
Doing nothing will only serve to exacerbate the problem.

Didier,

Michael,
You Are on spot on (in my humble opinion). We are apparently losing
Europe to that Cancer but we ALL must adopt your advice and get involved
now to make sure it doesn=99t come here, to the U.S of A. !

I approve Jan. It should not be on this list BUT unfortunately these
images are our poor reality. Not every day but still often enough. More
and more people laugh at authorities and don't respect anymore the law
of the state if we can speak about a state...
Police officer are not anymore respected and do not have the means to
enforce the law
Just don't know how far it will go!!
My plane helps me to fly away from this!!!!

Jan,
It is not much different here in the U.S.. I am forbidden from asking
immigration status on illegal aliens. We then give them welfare, free
medical and a free education for their children.
Last week at a protest against the police, we were told to hide in a
building because it was angering the protesters. Then when the started
committing crimes, we were told to go home and do nothing!

Bottomline is that here in Europe, things are really going south.
Islamic State already reigns in the suburbs of Paris and Brussels.
Police officers are forbidden to act and so they are despised and
humiliated by scum.
The result of many years of leftist, '68ties style government.

As I understand, the Chinese rubber does not like tool oil.

Subject: | Vpered AV-14 Prop Overyhaul |
We have been involved with these engines and aircraft for some 30 years, and
although we have sold a fair number of M 14 B engines over the years (in
fact we have two new ones at the moment) we have always converted them to
the "P" gearbox. So, while I have heard about the AV - 14 prop, I have never
seen one, and I suspect there are very few around. Also Vpered are out of
business, and I suspect there are very few people, if any, who have either
the manuals or any parts for the props.
But the Russians seldom reinvented anything, and I would suspect that the
internals are very similar to the V-530 prop, but you would only establish
this by disassembling it.

Subject: Yak-List: Vpered AV-14 Prop Overyhaul
