This is what I used. Works great on any standard SCUBA bottle. I use an 80cu/ft aluminum, light weight compared to steel. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000B3600/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DBFZLU0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HNKH2WE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Ernie On Wed, Nov 26, 2014 at 10:14 PM, Brett Grooms <brettg101@comcast.net> wrote: > > I'm looking at setting up a scuba tank as a 'charging' bottle for ground > operation and possibly a 'pony' bottle set up as a back up/spare on > cross-county flights. "I flew with him almost every year in the summer for 6 years. We added every year to skills, and improvement on old skills. Then in 2011 I wanted to lean to tumble. We had to lean inverted spins, b/c if controls held in tumble, the result is an inverted spin." In my opinion this is, behind Nigel's comment about being a fool 'trying' spins by yourself, perhaps the most salient comment of this entire discussion over the last couple of weeks. Good on you, Herb, for getting real spin training...which does not happen in one flight or one day. It takes several hours to become proficient (read "truly safe") in spin recoveries and becoming truly spin proficient in all recoveries from all spin types is a commitment that, while certainly prudent and recommended, is a step far too few take. Tumble on, Herb! Make every flight a training flight!
