Justin, If you drill/attach two pieces of angle iron onto the generator studs (have a hole drilled through each of the vertical sides of angle iron) you can atta ch one end of a lift strap to the pad, and the other to the prop shaft. Doug Sapp informed me of this method when I was changing the engine mount rubber s on 4024N. Works well! Good luck! Ah, good idea Dan! Will keep that in mind. Thankfully the engine on my CJ is doing great, but someone generous recently gave me an old Housai, no history or papers, but ideal for the odd spare part. Its sitting vertical/upright at moment, ideal for lifting w/ a ring. It'd be a challenge, at this point, to get it horizontal single-handedly. Hoping to get it cleaned up and preserved asap. Lifting rings are avail in China but... $$$. Thanks!!! -Justin On Wed, Jan 28, 2015 at 11:03 AM, Dan Payne <dantpayne@icloud.com> wrote: > Justin, > > If you drill/attach two pieces of angle iron onto the generator studs > (have a hole drilled through each of the vertical sides of angle iron) you > can attach one end of a lift strap to the pad, and the other to the prop > shaft. 4th Yak-52 World Aerobatic Championship - 1st Intermediate FAI WAC - FAI IWAC 2014 - Mossel Bay - South Africa - 26 Nov. - 03 Dec. 2014. ================================================================== Evening JP, Thanks for your call. [Twisted Evil] [Twisted Evil] http://www.aerobatics.co.nz/index.php/events/67-world-intermediate-aerobatics-champs As it says in the article above ... skulduggery was indeed supected [Rolling Eyes] [Rolling Eyes] but the Russian pilots did get away with it [Arrow] [Arrow] These Competitions are always 'interesting' experiences but it is up to you to decide if you want to do it and submit yourself and your Yak-52 to the intensity of flying required. Mind you the sequences to fly and the approved figures (from the FAI Aresti CIVA catalogue Section 6) are a lot easier than for the First (Novosibirsk 2008) and Second (Lithuania 2009) Yak-52 World Aerobatic Championship ...
