Certainly for any engine that I was going to fly behind, I would want to make sure that everything had been checked! Can the bent rod be replaced without removing the engine? Does the crankshaft have to come out to change the bent rod? If you want to be a part of it call Keith Harbour at 402-910-5247. Instructors and check pilots will be in attendance. This is a great opportunity to knock off the winter rust or start or finish an additional rating. Hope to see you there Pumper ________________________________ Message 4 _____________________________________ Time: 05:45:59 PM PST US Subject: Re: Yak-List: CJ Huosai engine From: Roger Kemp Richard and Dennis that is why I said "When you get to this point, you may a s well pull the whole engine down, IRAN it, and rebuild it." He's going to h ave the engine pretty well torn down by that point so he may as well IRAN th e thing. I agree I would not trust the engine either.
