Caveat: I'm no mechanic. I don't even play one on TV. I'm not even a particularly good pilot, or person for that matter... * Never reuse a rubber. * I think there is some temptation to omit the rubber, going bareback. Some pilots think that this enhances the 'feel' of flying. This is a horrible mistake. The risks involved are serious and very real. Always use a rubber, even if you think you don't need it. * Maybe keep a supply of extra rubbers on hand, just in case one or more are unsuitable for whatever reasons. * The Chinese rubbers are significantly smaller than the Russian ones, from what I understand. Obviously, American ones are quite large. * Anything I'm missing?
