Hey Blitz,
I have a shout out to the Colo group but Durango is in the middle of
the Southern part of the state and high Alt as well, I don't know if we'll
be able to get it done.

Sir,
I realize the lateness of this request, and would completely understand if
this was an impossible or impractical mission for you all. If you know of
other avenues to request this great honor for my father, we would
appreciate knowing other points of contact.
My father served in the Army Air Corp, and then the United States Air
Force, from 1942 until 1970. In WWII, he was a door gunner on B-29 sorties out
of Saipan, and over mainland Japan. He was awarded the Purple Heart in
this capacity, and went on to receive a field commission, and retire at the
rank of Lt. Colonel after commanding a munitions squadron at Clark Air Base
supporting fighter and bomber sorties over Viet Nam.
He died at the age of 92, October 25th, 2014. His memorial celebration
will take place 15 August, 2015 at his Hermosa Creek residence, 8 miles
north of Durango, CO, just inside the Hermosa Creek Canyon.
I sincerely appreciate your consideration of this request.

I am organizing an Oct. 1st through the 4th formation clinic at Lakeland-Li
nder airport in Florida. There will be a newbie ground school if there is a
ny demand for such as well as a Mission Commander seminar put together by J
im Goolsby in an effort to pass on hard won wisdom to aspiring leaders.
To support this mission, there will be two 30 minute closed airspace slots
on Saturday and Sunday for airshow practice at the same airport where the S
UN 'n FUN airshow is put on. This creates and opportunity for two would-be
Mission Commanders to work with an experienced lead (Pappy)and air show bos
s to plan, brief and conduct a session. Apply directly to Pappy if is this
is something you want to do.
All required facilities are within a short walk, including hotel, 2 restaur
ants, 2 bars, and staging area. The Hilton Garden Inn on Don Emerson dr. is
the hotel of choice as it sits just in front of the Lakeland terminal. Cur
rent room prices on popular travel sites is actually a bit Cheaper than the
block rate I was offered. Get 'em while they are hot. Pre-Registration is
available on the RPA site. Pay there or pay me when you get there, $100 inc
ludes lunches, an Oktoberfest banquet, water, etc. In all cases, let me kno
w you if you intend to come.
