Thank you iPhone users for waiting out the IOS 9 upgrade while the Airport Courtesy Car app was down. The app is back up for all users and the layout and look of the app has been upgraded also. The listings continue to grow, currently at over 1,520, and approaches 25,000 launches. Please continue to send in listings I have missed or corrections that need to be made and I will get right on them. And if you use and like the app, please consider a small donation to help with expenses, even the tip that you leave on the lunch counter is appreciated. There are PayPal links on the app, and my mailing address is also listed within the app. Glenn -------- Glenn Brasch RV-9A Flying 1952 Piper Tri-Pacer Medevac Helicopter Pilot (Ret) Tucson, Arizona Owner, "Airport Courtesy Cars" Smart Phone App. Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=447642#447642

Subject: CJ6 Stainless steel MAIN air tank
From: doug sapp <dougsappllc@gmail.com>
CJ owners: We have just received the first run of the new stainless steel main air tanks. This tank should be the last air tank which you should ever have to buy, and depending on the opinion of your mechanic, the fact that it is stainless should negate the need for future inspections. It's my opinion that this tank is about as close to a forever or lifetime tank as you can get, that being said I would still recommend removing and cleaning the tank on a biannual basis which will go a long way in extending the life of your QDF-1, and gear and flap valves. Due to the high cost of manufacture this first test run was only 20 tanks, if they are well received I will order up additional stock. In 60 days we will have 20 CJ6 emergency tanks in stock also. When ordering please ask for H2-5505-40SS which is the tank alone without fittings. No problem using your old plug and nipple in the new tanks, but new crush washer/seals should be installed. Should you prefer new fittings please order the following: H2-H2-5505-31 Nipple 1 ea H2-H2-5505-32/1 Copper crush washer 2 each H2-5506-13 Plug 1 each Please contact me off list if interested. Best, Doug

Blitz, No problem at all. The cost for the stainless steel "forever" tank is $800.00 per tank, a little less than twice the current cost of $485.00 for the old style std steel tank. As you may already know the stock steel tanks are becoming nearly impossible to find at any price. Considering the expected life, and the fact that you will no longer have the cost to inspect, I think it is a fair price and in time I think you will see it as a selling point. I will continue to stock the standard steel tanks when ever I can find them, last shipment I ordered 12 and was able to receive only 2. We expect the smaller emergency tank will be slightly less expensive. The remaining small bits, the nipple, plug and crush seals total about $27.00. Check with Doug Sapp and Dennis Savarese. They have about the most comprehensive list known in addition to the maintenance manual.
