The Yak 55 has a spherical air tank on the firewall and no emergency tank as you
may know.
Dop you know if your new SS emergency tank for the CJ6 is the same size and could
be fitted to the Yak 55

John,No, not at this time. But if I cold get at least 10 rock solid firm orders
for Yak 52 main air tanks I could have them done in tandem with the CJ6 emergency
air tanks. That would make them available in 60 days. The way the schedule
stands now 52 main tanks are scheduled for sometime in the spring of the
year.

buy, and depending on the opinion of your mechanic, the fact that it is stainless
should negate the need for future inspections. It's my opinion that this
tank is about as close to a forever or lifetime tank as you can get, that being
said I would still recommend removing and cleaning the tank on a biannual basis
which will go a long way in extending the life of your QDF-1, and gear and
flap valves.
Due to the high cost of manufacture this first test run was only 20 tanks, if they
are well received I will order up additional stock. In 60 days we will have
20 CJ6 emergency tanks in stock also.
When ordering please ask for H2-5505-40SS which is the tank alone without fittings.
No problem using your old plug and nipple in the new tanks, but new crush
washer/seals should be installed.
Should you prefer new fittings please order the following:H2-H2-5505-31 Nipple
1 eaH2-H2-5505-32/1 Copper crush washer 2 eachH2-5506-13 Plug 1 each
