If you are leaving the engine for an entire winter, it should have full conservation. Of course t hey were incredibly conservative, but I pass this on for what it is worth! Well, our 3 weeks of Summer flew by (pun intended!) quickly in WI and I am now faced with the dismal prospect of a multi-month "no fly zone" due to ri diculously impending cold weather and harsh climate. Can anyone offer advic e on engine / oil pre-heat for a Yak 52? I've done some propane ducted-heat experimentation and have seen limited / marginal success. I would really l ike a dependable method so I can maintain my "chops" over the Winter months . If anyone has any solid advice / experience and / or if anyone has a syst em for sale, or feels confident in directing me to someone offering one, pl ease talk to me. I think we can keep this topic "on-list" as it may be of i nterest to other pilots...? Thank you in advance - and 'hoping this finds you all healthy, happy and th riving!
