I have an oil heater but what I am asking is if I should pre-heat the engine too. I have always done that on other planes as a complete safety factor but really never knew if this was actually needed. Obviously, it doesn't hurt. If I do pre-heat, I am trying to decide how to design/build a system for the Yak. Dennis Savarese suggested this to me and it worked great.
